Colored shades can also be worn alone as a standalone strengthening and color treatment.

Absolutely. Tones Rubber Base Gel colored shades are fully pigmented and can be worn alone as a standalone nail treatment — no gel polish overlay needed. Color and strength in a single service.

4. How does rubber base gel strengthen weak and brittle nails?
The rubber-flex formula creates a flexible, protective layer that absorbs impact instead of cracking. 5. How long does rubber base gel last on clients?
With proper nail prep and application, Tones Rubber Base Gel lasts 3–4 weeks worn alone. Proper dehydration and primer application are key to maximizing wear time.

6. What UV/LED lamp do I need for Tones Rubber Base Gel?
Tones Rubber Base Gel is compatible with both UV and LED lamps. Cure time is 30 seconds under LED or 60 seconds under UV. We recommend the Tones Pro UV/LED Nail Lamp for optimal results.

7. How do I apply rubber base gel for the best results?
Prep nails with a dehydrator and ultrabond primer. Apply a thin, even layer of Rubber Base Gel — the self-leveling formula will smooth itself out. Cure under UV/LED. Apply a second layer if desired and cure again. Finish with a top coat and cure to seal.

8. Can I use rubber base gel for nail extensions?
Rubber base gel works best as a strengthening layer on natural nails — it is not designed for sculpting extensions. For extensions, use Tones Builder Gel or acrylic powder. Rubber base gel can be applied over a tip to add flexibility and strength to the overlay.

9. How do I remove rubber base gel without damaging natural nails?
File the surface lightly to break the seal. Soak cotton pads in acetone and wrap each nail for 10–15 minutes. Gently push off the softened gel — do not peel. The soak-off formula is designed for safe, damage-free removal.

10. What is the difference between rubber base gel and builder gel?
Rubber base gel is thinner and more flexible — designed for strengthening natural nails as a standalone treatment. Builder gel is thicker and more structural — designed for sculpting extensions and adding significant length or structure. Both are professional tools: rubber base for natural nail clients, builder gel for extension clients.
