Security and Data Handling Summary

Global Sources USA Corp. d/b/a TONES maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information used in our e-commerce, advertising, social-media, and TikTok Shop operations.
Our program is designed around the following principles:
- Data minimization and purpose limitation: collect and use only information reasonably needed for authorized business purposes.
- Least privilege: limit access according to job responsibility and approved operational need.
- Authentication and access management: use managed accounts, strong authentication, and periodic access review for sensitive systems.
- Encryption and secure transmission: use encrypted network connections and platform-supported protections for credentials and stored data where appropriate.
- Credential protection: store secrets and access tokens in approved protected systems; do not place them in chat, source code, public files, or client-side applications.
- Vendor oversight: evaluate service providers based on the information and functions they handle and require appropriate contractual and security protections.
- Logging, monitoring, and vulnerability management: maintain proportionate monitoring, patching, and remediation processes for systems handling company or customer data.
- Incident response: maintain procedures to identify, contain, investigate, remediate, document, and provide legally required notifications concerning security incidents.
- Retention and deletion: retain information only for legitimate business and legal needs and delete or de-identify it when no longer required.
- Business continuity: use backups and recovery procedures appropriate to operational risk.
